Udoh hypes Enyimba's title credentials

Enyimba captain Mfon Udoh believes his team can still challenge for the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title despite their stuttering start to the season.
The former champions are seven points behind table-toppers Plateau United after 13 games but Udoh feels his team can catch up with the leaders and mount a quest for the title.
The Peoples Elephant are in Ilorin for Sunday’s NPFL game with ABS who are fifth on the log but that does not bother the captain.
“We are in Ilorin for business. ABS are a good side, we respect them but we are not in Ilorin for a jamboree, we want to get points,” he told supersport.com.
“Everything is set. We have trained hard for this game. It’s just the exhibition remaining now and I’m sure we will do well.
“We’ve had a bad run in the league so far but it is time to redeem our image and it starts with the game against ABS.”
Enyimba are into their second season away from their traditional base of Aba as repair works continue at the Enyimba International Stadium.
A lot of pundits and analysts were quick to suggest that Enyimba’s inability to challenge for the title in the last two seasons is down to the fact that they have played at ‘away’ venues designated as home grounds.
Udoh does not believe that is the case even though he did concede it would be nice playing in Aba at their home ground.
“It will be great playing in front of our home fans once again which has eluded us for almost two years now. We don't have a choice but to accept it and continue working hard.
“Playing away from home will not deter us from our goals. We want to win the league and play on the continent. It is achievable, nothing is impossible,” Udoh added.
