Ghana goalkeeper fined over ‘unacceptable’ comments in Facebook video

Ghana Football Association (GFA) have fined goalkeeper
Razak Brimah $2,500 for comments he made on a Facebook video aimed at fans who had criticized his performances at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
Brimah was unhappy with some of the criticism he received after the Black Stars’ final group game against Egypt, when some people suggested he was fault for the goal in the 1-0 defeat.
Responding to the video, the Ghana FA said he used “unfortunate words” which “management finds unacceptable.”
The 29-year-old, who has helped Ghana reach the semi-finals, posted the video on his Facebook page on Monday where he responds to the apparent criticism, using expletives and telling the critics to “go to hell.”
The Federation announced the punishment on Tuesday, and said Razak had made a written apology, while they also offered “an unqualified apology to the general public.”
His fine will be donated to charity, they mentioned.
