US President Donald Trump has invited President Muhammadu Buhari to the White House.
The invitation came during a telephone conversation between the two Presidents on Monday, February 13.
Buhari spoke to Trump from London where he is observing a medical vacation.
"President Trump also invited President Buhari to Washington at a mutually convenient date," President's spokesman, Femi Adesina, confirmed in a statement released on Monday.
Adesina said Trump also commended Buhari for his efforts on the rescue of 24 of the abducted Chibok school girls and the strides being taken by the Nigerian military to combat terrorism.
The US President also assured that the US is ready to cut a new deal in helping Nigeria fight terrorism.
